Kwara Ladies prepared for the upcoming Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship with a whopping 7-0 loss to Delta Queens.

The Round of 16 match of the 2024 President Federation Cup showed the experienced Pearls from Asaba exhibiting their supremacy over the second-tier side from Ilorin.

After the match, the coach of Kwara Ladies Olajide Peter Muyiwa spoke on lessons learned from the big loss ahead of the second-tier women’s league.

“We learned a lot because we lost to a very good side,” Olajide told NigeriaFootball.ng

“Our opponents are technically sound. To cut the story short, we learned a lot from the game and promised to bounce back as our target is to make sure the team qualifies for the Premiership.”

While exhibiting confidence ahead of the league, the coach opened up on reasons for the huge loss and their next target.

“These players are the ones that we were able to register for the President Federation Cup.” He continued.

“In our camp presently, we have better 15 good legs waiting for us.

“I can guarantee and ensure you that we are fully and 100% ready for the women’s Championship.” He concluded.

Last season, Kwara Ladies escaped relegation from the NWFL Championship ahead of fellow Kwara state-based side, Moje Queens in Group A where Dannaz Ladies and Ekiti Queens gained promotion
