The Speaker Abia State House Of Assembly RT Hon Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa this week marked his first year in office at the hallowed chambers of the Abia Assembly. 

Hon. Emeruwa's leadership of the  legislative arm of Abia State has been  marked by examplary work ethics, deep understanding of the legislative process and a commitment to deliver the good dividends of democracy to Abians.

Within his first one year in office Hon. Emeruwa was able to achieve a great deal of legislative breakthrough by passing significant laws that promotes development in the State. Some of the laws include.

I) The Abia State 2023 Local Government Councils Appropriation Law, 2023

II) The Abia State 2024 Appropriation Law, 2024

III) The Abia State 2023 Appropriation (Amendment) Law, 2023

IV) The Abia State 2023 Appropriation (Amendment) Law, 2023

V) The Abia State Medicines and Health Commodities Management Agency (Establishment) Law, 2024

Hon. Emeruwa's dedication and work ethic has been second to none, under him there has been enormous synergy between the legislature and the executive. 

The current Abia State Assembly was inaugurated on Tuesday the 13th of June 2023 with Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa unanimously emerging u as the speaker.
