Police In Umuahia, Abia State Has Declared Man Wanted For Bisexuality

The Police in Umuahia, Abia State Nigeria has declared one Chikezie Nkutere Kanu wanted for homosexuality. The accused was invited severally by the police, but he did not honour the invitation, instead he went into hidden.

Exclusivenews gathered in Umuahia that the man who is from Bende Local Government Area of Abia State was reported to the police by the youths of World Bank Quarters in Umuahia, after his identity was revealed by his neighbor Chioma, who told people in their neighbourhood, about his relationship with another man.

The community was abuzz with discussions about what should happen to him as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, as people saw him as a threat, and a danger their way of life. He was said to have been attacked by a group of boys from the community.

They beat him mercilessly with wooden planks, hitting him repeatedly, and was left unconscious before been rushed to the hospital, where he received treatment from injuries.

He was discharged from the hospital and his attackers came to his home, threatening him. When the police came to his home looking for him he had escaped.

Police invitations extended to him were not honoured. The Police therefore advised members of the public with useful information of his whereabouts to report to the nearest Police station in the country.
