FG Constructs 40 Housing Units For Judges

The Federal Government has approved the construction of 40 housing units for judges and justices in Abuja's Katampe District. This initiative is part of the government's Renewed Hope Housing agenda, aiming to provide secure and convenient accommodation for judicial officers.

*Allocation of Units:*
- _FCT High Court_: 20 units
- _Federal High Court_: 10 units
- _Court of Appeal_: 10 units

The project has a 15-month completion term and includes ancillary infrastructure projects to improve access to the judicial quarters, such as:


- Construction of access roads from Artillery Road and Ring Road
- Development of internal roads within the judges' quarters
- Development of roads connecting to the Court of Appeal Abuja division


This approval is part of the administration's infrastructure push in the capital city, which includes developing over 75 kilometers of roads in satellite towns. The FG aims to complete these projects by December. Other approved projects include:


- Rehabilitation of Maraban-Kankara-Funtua Road in Katsina State
- Construction of the Sokoto-Badagry super-highway
- Dualisation of Afikpo-Uturu-Okigwe Road
- Completion of the Bodo-Bonny Road in Rivers State


Additionally, the Third Mainland Bridge has been upgraded with solar lights and CCTV cameras to enhance security and reduce road blockages.
