Honourable Robinson Ewoh, a former lawmaker from Rivers State, has delivered sharp criticisms of Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). In an interview with Symfoni TV, Ewoh accused Wike of significantly contributing to the decline of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) since he became a prominent figure in 2015.

Ewoh pointed out that the PDP has experienced a notable decrease in the number of states under its control during Wike’s tenure. “Since Wike became a key player in the PDP in 2015, the party’s success has dwindled. We’ve gone from controlling over 30 states to less than 13,” he stated. According to Ewoh, this decline is linked to Wike’s leadership style and ongoing internal conflicts within the party.

He further criticized Wike for a tendency to betray those he supports, saying, “Wike has a history of bringing down people. You support someone today, and the next day, you undermine them.” Ewoh’s comments imply that Wike’s alliances within the PDP are often temporary, leading to instability and discord within the party.
