Speaking ahead of the event, organizer and founder of TurboCrestSports, Tunbosun Johnson, emphasized the long-term vision behind the initiative.

“Rugby is fun, and for the last thirteen years, we’ve consistently put this event together—except during the COVID-19 disruption. It’s our way of contributing to the growth and visibility of the sport in Nigeria,” he said. “We’re passionate about building a rugby culture that is inclusive, vibrant, and community-driven.
