Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, Executive Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has felicitated and rejoiced with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eld-el Kabir celebration, charging them to cooperate with the operational reforms in the domestic top flight embarked upon by the present league board to make the NPFL a model brand, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Elegbeleye, a former Director-General of the National Sports Commission, NSC, also called on the Muslim adherents to seek the face of Allah for Nigeria's peaceful coexistence and unity during this festive season, adding that alignment of stakeholders to the operations of the league towards the reforms will be a long term gain for Nigeria. 

The alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ile-Ife, spoke during his Sallah message, emphasising on peaceful coexistence across religious divides

"Warmest wishes from the board of the Nigeria Premier FootballLeague, NPFL, to all Muslim faithful. Allah, the most merciful and omnibenevolence, will grant our request and make this season the best possible opportunities to redefine development of Nigerian football", Elegbeleye began in his Sallah message.

"While I use this occasion to seek the cooperation of stakeholders on the reforms embarked upon by the board of Nigeria football league, I want to implore all our Muslim brothers and sisters to always have the fear of God in all their daily activities and work for the peace, progress and unity of Nigeria".

The Ondo state born  football admistrator further called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the future of the country, charging them to keep trusting Allah for better days ahead. 

The CAF Disciplinary Committee member charged all Nigerians, irrespective of religion and tribe to embrace peace, love and unity, which the Almighty Allah commands.

"I pray the Almighty Allah spares our lives to witness more Eld-el Kabir and celebrate the progress of Nigeria. Barka de sallah", the soft spoken NPFL boss submitted.
