The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of Faisal Makarfi, son of former Kaduna Governor Senator Ahmed Makarfi, in a ghastly motor accident.

The incident occurred on the Kaduna-Kano highway on Saturday when the front tire of the vehicle completely detached, causing the car to somersault. Two others were left unconscious.

FRSC Sector Commander Kabir Nadabo reported that Faisal was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the driver and another passenger remain unconscious.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Board of Trustees (BoT) have extended condolences to Senator Makarfi, describing the loss as "unimaginable pain" and "a tragic loss."

Faisal's burial took place at Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna.
