The Sky Blue Ladies dominated Castmog FA with a resounding 4-0 victory to retain the 2025 Ogun State FA Cup at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.

Ogunmodede, a former Nigerian University Games (NUGA) top goal scorer, took to social media to express her excitement, emphasizing the significance of the win.

“Winning my first tournament with Remo Stars Ladies and lifting the Ogun State FA Cup is a moment I’ll cherish forever! This victory isn’t just about the trophy—it’s about hard work, resilience, and the belief that every challenge is an opportunity to grow,” she posted.

The young forward also credited her team’s dedication, stating that their unity and perseverance led to their triumph.

“From the first day I joined this team, I knew we were building something special. To now stand as champions in our very first tournament together is proof of our dedication and teamwork. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead!

“A huge thank you to my teammates, coaches, and everyone who has supported this journey. Here’s to more wins, more growth, and making history!”

Ogunmodede made an impressive start to life at Remo Stars Ladies, scoring on her debut in a 3-1 victory over Confluence Queens during Matchday 1 of the 2024/25 NWFL Premiership season under coach Wemimo Matthew.

Before joining the Ogun-based club, she captained non-league side Alimosho Ladies, showcasing her leadership qualities and goal-scoring prowess.

Beyond football, Ogunmodede is a multiple award-winning student-athlete, having clinched the NUGA Games top goal scorer and Most Valuable Player (MVP) titles. Recently, she also won a bronze medal with UNILAG’s female football team at the All African University Games (FASU 2024).

With her talent and dedication, the future looks bright for Ogunmodede as she continues to make waves in Nigerian women’s football.
