Ruger, who refers to himself as a "lover boy," has revealed that he's come to realize that relationships don't work for him. In an interview with Naija FM, the singer shared that his initial instinct is to get serious with someone, but he often loses interest.

Ruger explained, "As a lover boy, I've now understood that relationships don't work for me. My first instinct when I meet a girl is to think about getting serious, but suddenly I become unserious."

He also mentioned that he maintains professional boundaries with his female fans, saying, "The most I can give a female fan on stage is a flower. It's like we're working together – I don't see it beyond the stage."
