Ifeanyi Kama, Project Manager of the Rising Stars Football League (RSFL), has announced plans to expand the grassroots football league to Lagos and Oyo States, pending an official invitation. The RSFL, currently operating in the six area councils of Abuja, aims to establish a strong presence in the Federal Capital Territory before expanding to other states.

Kama, a seasoned football administrator, revealed the league's plans during an interview on the Sports World Platform WhatsApp group's "Super Interview" program, co-anchored by Sunday Agunbiade (Mr. VAR) and Wale Oye. He emphasized the importance of solidifying the league's structure in Abuja before exploring opportunities in other states.

"Lagos State is our next port of call, and possibly Oyo State, provided we receive an invitation," Kama stated. "We are eager to showcase our grassroots football talents and create a platform for young players to develop their skills."

The RSFL, launched last year, consists of six area councils and aims to elevate grassroots football by providing a platform for talented young players to shine. The league has achieved significant milestones, including organizing qualifiers, awarding souvenirs for participation, and creating bonuses for teams. The league also boasts functional social media platforms, a website, and video coverage of matches on its YouTube channel.

Kama and his team are committed to delivering an exceptional experience for the upcoming Super 4 tournament, which promises to be an exciting conclusion to the league's current season. With its expansion plans, the RSFL is poised to become a major force in Nigerian grassroots football, empowering young talents and fostering community development.
