Joann Kelly, daughter of disgraced singer R. Kelly, has come forward with allegations of childhood sexual abuse by her father.

In the two-part documentary series "Karma: A Daughter's Journey" on TVEI Streaming Network, Joann, 26, shared her traumatic experience.

Though she didn't detail the alleged abuse, Joann stated that she first reported it to her mother, Drea, in 2009. She believes her father's prison sentence is justified.

"My father was my everything... I didn't want to believe it happened," Joann said. "I was too scared to tell anybody, including my mom."

After disclosing the abuse, Joann and her siblings ceased contact with R. Kelly.

R. Kelly's lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, has denied the allegations.

This revelation follows R. Kelly's February 2023 sentencing to 20 years in prison for child pornography and enticement charges, concurrent with a prior 30-year sentence from a separate July 2022 case in New York.
