Anambra FA Chairman's U17 Boys Football Competition Draw Holds Tuesday, March 12, In Awka As Iloenyosi Wishes Muslims 'Peaceful, Spiritual Fulfilment' At Ramadan
Organisers have confirmed that draws for the second edition of the annual Anambra State Football Association Chairman's U17 Boys Football Competition will hold on Tuesday, 12 March, 2024, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
Raphael Nweke, Acting Secretary of the FA, in a statement made available to Exclusivenews.com.ng said the draws will hold at the FA Secretariat, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, at 12noon.
Although the the Acting FA Scribe did not disclose the number of teams who registered and would duly take part in the competition, he nonetheless revealed that a total sum of N1.2m has been set aside for various prizes.
Checks reveal that overall winners will pocket half a million naira, N500, 000, while runners-up will be rewarded to the tune of N300, 000; just as the third placed team will receive N200, 000.
Nweke would equally reveal that there would be various awards for individual and team performances during the competition.
He disclosed that the tournament's top scorer, Most Valuable Player MVP, Best Goalkeeper and Best Behaved Team will each receive N50, 000.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, Chikelue Iloenyosi, has sent out a warm Ramadan Message to Muslims across the country.
In the message, 'General' Iloenyosi, a former Nigeria international, prayed for Allah's 'blessings, Peace and spiritual fulfilment' to all Muslims during this month of Ramadan.
