Retired Nigeria’s Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie is now a member of the Imo State Football Association.

The ex-Nigeria international announced her retirement from the game to the surprise of many football followers and stakeholders.

She was conferred with the honorary member of the state football association by the State FA chairman.

” Over the weekend I was conferred as an Honorary member of the Imo State Football Association.

Special appreciation to the Imo State FA Chairman and its executive committee members for such an honour.

A recognition I do not take for granted. Long live Imo State”, she said.

Oparanozie was part of the Super Falcons team at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
