The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Congress will convene in Abuja on December 17, 2024. According to NWFL Chairman, Ms. Nkechi Obi, the Congress will determine the kickoff dates for the NWFL Premiership and Championship.

The Congress will also decide on the format of the 2025 League, which must conclude by May 2025 to meet the CAF registration deadline for the Women's Championship. The 2024 NWFL season ended in June with a Super Six tournament held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
