The Director General and CEO of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, has appointed Kayode Adeniyi as the new General Manager of NTA Sports Channel.

Adeniyi, a seasoned sports writer and two-time Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT Chapter, brings extensive experience to his new role.

- Head of News and Current Affairs, NTA Channel 5, Abuja
- Chairman, SWAN FCT Chapter (two terms)

*Education*

- Bachelor's Degree, University of Ilorin
- Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), Abuja
- Diploma in Korean Language, Dongguk University, South Korea
- Certificate in Sports Broadcasting and Presentations, NTA TV College, Jos

Adeniyi's appointment takes effect immediately.

This appointment recognizes Adeniyi's expertise and contributions to sports journalism, and is expected to enhance NTA Sports Channel's programming and coverage.
