The Nigerian sports community is agog in celebration of a special day, in the life of one of Nigeria's most respected sports administrator, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida.

Kida, who is the the President of Nigeria Basketball Federation and a recently retired as Deputy Managing Director of Total Energies Limited, has continued to attract praises and prayers from friends, associates in the corporate world and of course, the sports community, as his celebrates his birthday, Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Chief Dipreiye Thompson, the National Coordinator of Friends of Nigeria Sports ( FNS), a group of sports activists, described Musa Kida, as a great Nigerian patriot, humility and kindness personified.

"We celebrate Engr. Musa Kida on this special day of his birthday. This is a great Nigerian, who deserves to be celebrated by Nigeria for his contributions to the socio-economic development of the country, through sports.

"We pray that God will continue to bless and protect him, for the benefits of Nigeria sports and the society at large," he prayed. 

Sports journalist, Tayo Adeyemo, said Kida deserves all praises and encomiums on his special day. He noted that Kida, deserves a national honour for his patriotic and selfless contributions to the development of Nigeria. 

"On this special day of his birthday, I appeal to the federal government to give national recognition to this man. We should no longer wait for our patriots to die, before we celebrate them," he noted.

"I join the good people of this world to celebrate this great Nigerian," he prayed.
