Nigerian cyclist Ese Ukpeseraye to compete in three cycling events at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Giandomenico Massari, President of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN), announced that Ukpeseraye is the only Nigerian cyclist qualified for all three cycling competitions at the upcoming Olympic Games.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Massari confirmed that Ukpeseraye will participate in one road event and two track events, including the Keirin and individual time trials. This marks the first time Nigeria will compete in Olympic cycling.
Currently training in Spain with Canyon/Sram club, Ukpeseraye is the first Nigerian to sign with this prestigious team. Massari encouraged her to remain disciplined, dedicated, and determined, wishing her the best of luck in the competition.
The 2024 Summer Olympic Games, known as Paris 2024, will be held from July 26 to August 11 in France, with Paris as the main host city and additional events in 16 other cities across Metropolitan France, plus one subsite in Tahiti.
