Neighbours Kill 16-Year-Old Boy for Abuja After He Allegedly Attack Him Mama with Cutlass
One 16-year-old boy don reportedly lose him life for Abuja after neighbours attack am when he allegedly use cutlass wound him mama during family quarrel.
The sad incident happen on February 12, 2026, for Byazhin, Kubwa, inside Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to police report, the matter start as normal domestic quarrel between the boy and him mama before e turn serious and end for mob action.
Police talk say Byazhin Divisional Headquarters receive distress call around 11:45 p.m. say the boy, wey dem identify as Chidera from Byazhin Across, allegedly attack him mama with cutlass during argument. Officers quickly move go the scene.
Preliminary investigation show say the quarrel start after the woman accuse her son say he dey transfer money from her bank account enter him personal Opay account without her permission.
When she confront am about the alleged transaction, the boy reportedly vex come violent and use cutlass give her serious injury for hand.
Police talk say two neighbours — Cosmos Okafor, 31, and Okechukwu Wisdom, 17 — allegedly enter the matter after dem see wetin happen. Dem reportedly attack the boy because of wetin he do to him mama.
During the beating, Chidera sustain serious injuries and faint. Dem rush am go Kubwa General Hospital, but doctors later confirm say he don die.
Police later arrest the two neighbours in connection with the incident, and dem dey currently for police custody.
The Commissioner of Police for FCT, Miller G. Dantawaye, send condolence message to the family of the deceased and warn residents make dem no dey take law into their own hands.
