One 46-year-old man, Abi Baragon, don enter serious wahala as Rivers State Police Command don arrest am for allegedly beating and injuring a lady wey say no to him marriage proposal.

 

The suspect, wey be father of four children, dey accused of using bottle take stab the lady for inside one incident wey happen for Nkpolu-Oroworukwo area of Mile 3, Port Harcourt, on October 13, 2025.

 

According to Grace Iringe-Koko, the police tok-tok person for Rivers State, the matter enter public eye after one video go viral for social media where the victim dey shout for help and show her injuries, say na Baragon do am and him run comot after the attack.

 

Police say dem use intelligence-led operation and technical tracking to catch Baragon, wey don now confess say na because the lady reject am after she find out say he don already marry and get four pikin, na im make am vex and attack her.

 

“The suspect talk say na bottles he use stab the girl, and na because she no gree marry am after she know say him don get family,” the police statement read.

 

The victim, according to the police, don dey hospital dey receive treatment, and full investigation still dey go on to know everything wey lead to the attack.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, hail the police team for their fast response, and also thank people wey give correct information wey help dem catch the suspect.

 

He warn say anybody wey try take law into him hand or commit violence against another person, no go escape justice.

 

The matter still dey under investigation as police promise say justice go prevail.
