All is now set for the 9th edition of the University of Ibadan Ex-Footballers Association Reunion, which holds on Saturday, 16th December, 2023. 

The Nigeria’s Premier University will be  agog at the weekend as the Ex-Footballers of the citadel of learning hold their annual reunion. 

The World Reunion will start on Friday with a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kayode Adebowale, FAS. 

The Vice-Chancellor will receive the Executive and Board of Trustees (BOT) members of the association in his office at noon. The team, to be led by the BOT Chairman, Mogaji Prof. Segun Adekunle will thereafter present a customized replica jersey of the university football team to the VC and an award in recognition of his innovative leadership and management.

Saturday, 17th December will be the climax of the reunion with a gala football tournament at the University of Ibadan stadium, while a dinner party will be held at the Alumni Hall of the University later that day.

According to the  President of the Association, Edwin Evbie, several prominent ex-football players who have passed through the university, including ex internationals Mutiu Adepoju, Edith Agoye, Christian Obi, Dimeji Lawal, Folorunsho Okenla, Dr. Abiodun Salami, Dr. Robinson Okosun of NFF, Iyiola Ogundele, Mogaji Barr. Rotimi Ali, and Mogaji Prof. Segun Adekunle, amongst others, are expected to grace the event. He further disclosed that a novelty match will also be played between the Ex-Footballers and the university's female team. 

Awards will also be presented to some members of the Association.
