LSFA Celebrates Legendary Football Administrator, Babatunde Balogun On His 74th Birthday
It was a day of untold happiness and joy, as the football community in Lagos State, gathers to praise and thank God for His mercies upon the life of veteran football administrator, Waheed Babatunde Balogun, on his 74th birthday.
Fondly called 'Bababaloo', in the football circles, he holds the enviable status as a former player, referee and reverred football administrator, who has continued to selflessly contribute to the development and growth of football in Lagos State, and Nigeria.
Speaking on the special occasion, Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed, was effusive in praises for the veteran football administrator.
"Baba Balogun is an iconic figure of our yesterday and today’s football in Lagos. An emeritus. A living Legend. An administrator per excellence! A great elder who always wants the best for every single one of us in this industry," Gafar Liameed remarked.
And he added, "On behalf of the LSFA board members, stakeholders and enthusiasts of the game in Lagos, I pray that, May GOD bless you now Baba. May GOD bless you always Baba Balogun. May showers of peace and love continue to drizzle on your rooftop sir. Long life, quality health and abundant prosperity sir."
