Emmanuel Junior's cool finish proved decisive as the selected players from the concluded maiden edition of the Bishop Owen Nwokolo U-21 Football Tournament amongst Arcbdeaconries in the Onitsha Anglican Communion came to a glamorous end Saturday at the All Saints Cathedral Sports Complex, Onitsha, Exclusivenews.com.nv reports.

The Cathedral won the Bishop Owen Nwokolo U-21 torment on Monday with a 2-1 victory over Omagba Archdeaconry in the thrilling final but Saturday's exhibition game saw the players selected during the run of the tournament clash with BONFA (Bishop Owen Nwokolo Football Academy) to fine tune the selected players for a planned European tour.

Junior Emmanuel slid the ball home from a swift cross from the right midway into the second half as the selected players held on strongly to stun the academy boys. Indeed, the victory proved the strenght and quality of the U-21 Tournament and the selection and technical savvy of Coach Dubem Ojogwu who selected the players during the tournament and within two weeks training knocked them into a cohesive and swift playing side.

Bishop on the Niger, His Lordship, Bishop Owen Nwokolo, was thrilled as he and the spectators enjoyed every single minute of the game.

Before the exhibition game, there was a curtain raiser game between U-15 players and U-13 with the 'senior' boys (U-15s) converting a second half penalty to win 1-0.

Tournament sponsor, Barrister Rob Izuchukwu was physically present during the Saturday afternoon festival of football at the Cathedral.
