Nigeria youngster, Victor Osuagwu, is up for a piece of the glamorous EUFA Champions League pie after completing a four-year deal with Latvia VirsLiga title holders, FK RFS FC, Exclusivenews.co..ng reports.

The 20-year-old forward is a product of Ozalla Football Academy, Onitsha, before a move to Right-wing Academy, Umuahia, on mutual consent.

The striker had previously had brief top flight football spell at Remo Stars.

FK RFS are playing in the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League, and have just seen off Larne FC, Northern Ireland, 7-0 on aggregate in the first round preliminary fixture.

After a first leg 4-0 triumph away to Larne, FK RFS returned to their LNK Sports Park to confirm their easy passage to the second round of the preliminary games with a 3-0 thumping.

Formed in 2016, the Manager Viktors Morozs side finished tops in the 2023/2024 10-team Latvia VirsLige and have not refused to make clear their bold statement of intent on the big Europen stage.

This is going by their 7-0 hammering of the 'Inver Reds' in the opening round games, a performance that underscores the potential and quality of the Victor's Morozs charges.

Osuagwu's deal further gives weight to the growing popularity of Ozalla FA as arguably the most organised football academy in Anambra State, having won the 2023 Anambra FA Cup, the first by any football academy in the state.
