Nigerian singer Jaywon has expressed regret and admiration for Ayra Starr after facing backlash for his initial reaction to her Grammy nomination snub.

The 67th Grammy nominees were announced, and Ayra Starr's name was noticeably absent. Jaywon, who has had an online feud with Starr, posted a photo with two Grammy awards, perceived as a jab at Starr.

However, facing criticism, Jaywon apologized and praised Starr:

"Please tell Ayra Starr I'm sorry she wasn't nominated for this year's Grammys. I'm a huge fan; she's one of Africa's best female vocalists."

Jaywon's reversal showcased his genuine appreciation for Starr's talent.
