A renowned businessman and philanthropist ,Chief Innocent  Agbo  has been awarded icon of philanthropy following his philanthropic services to the  less privileged and the general public.

The Oil Magnate, Innocent Agbo was given the Icon  Award by the Coalition of Civil Society of Civil Society Groups for Peace, Security,Good Governance, Equity and Justice.

Speaking during the award conferment ceremony, the National Coordinator of the group Comrade James Okoronkwo stated that  Chief Innocent Agbo was found worthy of the Icon of Philanthropy Award on account of his numerous philanthropic services to the public.

According to him,  "his transparent business profile and humility stands him above his peers".

 Responding,the awardee urged Nigerians to help each other by respecting constituted authorities and  urged  them to fully utilise and  monitor programmes that would bring hope to the youth, less previllages as well betterment of the country at large.

He further explained that  he would everything possible to  assist Nigerians by engaging them in skill acquisition programmes that would enhance  safety and food security in Nigeria.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Icon award of philanthropy to Innocent Agbo as a token of encouragement and appreciation from the  Coalition for his gesture to the Nigerians
