The maiden edition of the Usman Haruna Ilerika U-17 tournament and the Patrick Bassey U-15 competition came to a close with exciting finals matches. The U-17 final saw Future Planners FC, owned by Sulaiman Alhaji Ibrahim, emerge as winners after defeating Emirate Star FC, owned by Musa D Yusuf, by a lone goal.

Both teams were from Group B, with Future Planners topping the group. The match, held at the Government Science Secondary School in Abaji, was attended by dignitaries, including Usman Haruna Ilerika, Patrick Bassey, and his wife, as well as Ijeoma Chuks, representing the FCT FA Chairman.

The tournament saw several awards presented to outstanding players, including:

- Abubakar Umar of Future Planners, who won the top scorer award with 4 goals in 5 matches
- Muhammad Jibrin of Future Planners, who won the golden glove as the best goalkeeper without conceding a goal throughout the tournament
- Philip Alo of Emirate, who won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award

In the U-15 competition, KAMSAS FC defeated AMICABLE FC by a lone goal to emerge as winners. The match was held at the same venue as the U-17 final.

The successful completion of the tournaments marks a significant milestone in the development of grassroots football in the region, and the sponsors, Usman Haruna Ilerika and Patrick Bassey, deserve commendation for their support.
