Iloenyosi Hails NNL Over Successful Super 8 Play-Offs; Congratulates Warri Wolves Chairman, Ambakederemo For Seasiders NPFL Return

The leadership of the Nigeria National League has continued to receive praises from eminent Nigerian football freaks following a successful staging of the 2024/2025 NNL Super 8 play-offs which came to a fitting end Saturday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The tournament saw Warri Wolves stage a bold Comeback to the elite league as well as emerge overall winners of the domestic second tier football league following a 3-2 triumph over Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.

Amongst the erudite football aficionados who thumbed up the George Aluo led Nigeria National League Management Committee is Chikelue Iloenyosi, a former Super Eagles defender and now Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, ANSFA.

Iloenyosi who was physically present at the Stadium to watch the games as well as show support and solidarity to the hierarchy of the NNL different his hat for the excellent organisation put in by the NNL to ensure the huge success of the Super 8 play-offs.

Iloenyosi, who is fondly called 'De General', was full of praises for the NNL management for a smooth organization of the eight-day competition.
The ANSFA boss averred that the extension of Chief Aluo's tenure as NNL Supremo by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, is justified going by the success story of the Super 8 play-offs.

He pointed out that there has been significant leap in the growth of the 'Most Important League' compared to the previous seasons, pointing out that the four clubs who earned promotion from the NNL to the NPFL all maintained their league status while NNL teams has in the past two years played in the finals of the President Federation Cup.

He called on all football stakeholders to support Aluo and his board in their efforts geared towards promoting the league and taking Nigerian football to greater heights. 

Chief Iloenyosi also played a role in the NNL Super 8 closing ceremony as he decorated the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Lateef Yusuf of Warri Wolves in the award ceremony.

In the same vein, Iloenyosi has congratulated Warri Wolves Chairman, Chief Neville Ambakederemo for steering the Seasiders to victory in the just concluded Super 8 competition. 

The ANSFA boss described the success story recorded by Warri Wolves FC as deserving of the team owing to their resilience, hardwork, discipline and dedication.

Iloenyosi admonished the Ambakederemo's led team to ensure they prepare well for the uphill task of playing in the top tier of Nigerian club football.
