Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo's had expressed her regret over advocating for Mohbad's exhumation stems from the prolonged burial delays and the intense family disputes that have arisen since then. 
In her interview with Biola Bayo, Iyabo expressed her frustration, stating that if she had known the case would unfold this way, she wouldn't have requested the exhumation. 
The situation has been complicated by Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba, who insists on a DNA test for Mohbad's son, Liam, before allowing his son to be reburied. 
This has led to a standoff, with Mohbad's body still unburied and his family embroiled in a bitter dispute.¹

Iyabo's initial intention was to facilitate an autopsy to determine the cause of Mohbad's death, which occurred under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023. However, the autopsy results were inconclusive due to the decomposition of the body, and a subsequent toxicology report revealed the presence of an antihistamine, but not in lethal concentrations. The case has sparked widespread interest and concern, with many calling for justice and transparency.

It's clear that Iyabo Ojo's regret is rooted in her desire to see justice served and Mohbad's family find closure, rather than perpetuating a cycle of conflict and delay.
