Kunle Soname, a visionary businessman with the clarity of an eagle, has significantly impacted Nigerian youth through football. After studying Estate Management at Obafemi Awolowo University and graduating in 1988, Soname's sharp intellect and knack for spotting opportunities led him to various roles. His leadership qualities caught the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed him as the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council, a position he held until 2011.

Instead of seeking a second term, Soname shifted his focus to his passion—football. In 2004, he acquired FC Dender of Lagos, a club struggling with relegation and financial issues. He recognized the potential in Fatai Osho, a coach whose "sugar ball" style of play stood out during a local football competition. Soname asked Osho if he could replicate this style with other players, and Osho agreed. This marked the beginning of Remo Stars, formerly FC Dender, which adopted an attractive, attacking style of football. The team quickly gained attention and nearly secured promotion to the Premier League, narrowly losing to Abia Warriors in 2013.

Since then, Remo Stars has grown immensely, evolving from a struggling club in the Nigeria National League (NNL) to a regular contender in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and a consistent representative in the CAF Champions League. Soname's belief in the power of football to transform lives has driven these achievements. He has built a state-of-the-art stadium in Ikenne, creating jobs for nearly a thousand people and providing opportunities for local youth to improve their lives through sports.

Kunle Soname's commitment to his community is evident in his people-oriented approach. His initiatives have empowered many Nigerians, with over ten players from Remo Stars and Beyond Limit FC transferring to top European clubs during the recent transfer window. Notable examples include Ebenezer Akinsanmiro joining Inter Milan, Adeshina Ayodele signing with Lille, and Oshola Ogundana linking up with Brazilian side Flamengo.

Through innovative programs and a deep-seated desire to see his people thrive, Kunle Soname has made a lasting impact on Nigerian youth, demonstrating that football can be a powerful tool for social change and personal development. His contributions have elevated the lives of many and set a standard for leadership and community empowerment.
