The management of Heartland Football Club has issued a firm disclaimer regarding its former General Manager, Mr. Promise Uchenna Nwachukwu, stating that he ceased to be affiliated with the club since July 2024.

In an official statement released on Monday, the club clarified that Mr. Nwachukwu no longer holds any position or authority to represent Heartland FC in any capacity — either officially or unofficially.

“The general public and all football stakeholders — including the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Confederation of African Football (CAF), and FIFA — are hereby informed that Mr. Promise Nwachukwu no longer has any association with Heartland FC,” the statement read.

The club emphasized that recent developments have made it necessary to publicly restate this position, warning individuals and organisations not to engage with Mr. Nwachukwu under the assumption that he still represents the club.

“Any individual or body that transacts with Mr. Promise Nwachukwu, believing he is acting on behalf of Heartland FC, does so at their own risk. Heartland FC shall not be held responsible for any such dealings, representations, or commitments,” the management warned.

The club concluded the statement by reaffirming its commitment to professionalism, transparency, and the ongoing repositioning of Heartland FC, as it seeks to restore its reputation both on and off the pitch.

Heartland FC is a historic Nigerian football club based in Owerri, Imo State, and is a former multiple-time winner of the Nigerian top-flight league and Federation Cup.
