Exclusivenews.com.ng has scooped that former BCC Lions of Gboko, Benue State, are billed to reunite in Makurdi next week for a four-day get-together.

BCC Lions, as a football club, has been frozen out of Nigeria football but still dominates talking points on the good old days of Nigeria club football based on the array of extraordinarily gifted players the team produced and its achievements in Nigeria club football.

The 'Lions Re-union', or 'gathering of the Fearful Lions', checks reveal, is being organised by some former players of the club based in Europe and some 'milk hearted one' still in the country.

The retired but presumably not tired players will begin to arrive on Friday, 24 November and will depart for their respective bases on 27 November.

Exclusivenews.com.ng understands that the Lions will conduct their business on 25 November, watch the Lobi Stars of Makurdi NOFL Match Day 10 home fixture against Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, Ibadan, in Lafia, in nearby Nasarawa State on Sunday, 26 November before dispersing on 27 November.

"Some former players of BCC Lions who are based in abroad are the ones behind this great reunion", Exclusivenews.com.ng was told by one of the former players but who wants to be shielded away from public because he wasn't authorised to speak on the matter.

"Don't forget too, that Dominic Iorfa, incumbent Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars is also an ex player of BCC Lions.

"There's also Moses Kpakor, Arthur Egbunam and others. So, it's a good initiative and we're happy with the initiators of this laudable program.

"It's been decades away since we all left and we're now old men, but coming together to renew old friendship, teammate spirit and that dressing room life is incredibly wonderful", the former 'Lion' said.
