Galadima Football Academy, a prominent grassroots football institution in the Federal Capital Territory, clinched the championship title in the Abuja Elite League Season 2.

With a remarkable performance, Galadima accumulated a total of forty-one (41) points from 18 matches held across three venues: Bwari Township Stadium, Area 3 Football Field, and Turf Arena Sports Complex.

Competing against nine other esteemed football academies in the Federal Capital Territory, Galadima emerged victorious under the observation of Eyeball, a leading IT Scout company that partnered with the Abuja Elite League to identify and showcase top talent to international clubs.

The league-style tournament featured notable participants such as Derby FA (runner-up), HB Academy (third place), Pride FC, N-Youth Academy, Sporting Supreme, Turf Arena FC, Tribelike Sports, Ejike Ugboaja FC, and Eagles City FC.

Acknowledging outstanding performances, Joseph Igbonere of Derby FA was named the Most Valuable Player, while Daniel James of HB Academy secured the highest goal scorer title with eleven goals. Usman Rabiu of Galadima FC received the Best Goalkeeper award, and Ejike Ugboaja FC was honored with the Fair Play award.

The event attracted distinguished guests, including the recently appointed National Under-17 coach, Manu Garba, who was presented with the Great Achievers award. Nasiru Jibril was honored as the Sports Personality of the Year, while Bello Garba Gusau received the Award for Excellence in Football. Haruna Usman Ilerika was celebrated as the Grassroots Football Promoter of the Year.

Witnessed by various dignitaries, the finals were a testament to the talent and dedication within the Abuja football community.
