The Federal Capital Territory Football Association Chairman,Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed on behalf of the FCT FA Board, extends his deepest condolences to the immediate family, Government and People of Kaduna State,the National Assembly and the Sporting family over the passing of House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Sports Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams.

Alhaji Adam Mouktar mourns a shining star in Nigeria's Sporting and Political firmament.

"This comes as a shock to me and the entire FCT FA. We are pained and saddened by this great loss".

"Honourable Ekene, a gentle man,was a friend and partner in the development of Sports in Nigeria. We have come along way, right from when we met in Kaduna State years back". 

Most importantly, the FCT FA Chairman affirms that  Honourable Ekene epitomises Nigeria in wholeness, as he believed in and defended Nigeria's unity, advocated peace, growth and development and promoted peace across the Niger.

Alhaji Mouktar prays to God Almighty to grant repose to the gentle soul of this erudite sports and national personality.

Until his suddenly demise, Honourable Ekene was representing Chikun/Kajiru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the Federal House of Representatives.

He was also former General Manager of the Nigeria Premier Football League side, Remo Stars and Kada City.

Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams passed on early Tuesday July 16, 2024 in an Abuja hospital.
