National Sports Commission (NSC) Chairman, Shehu Dikko, has extended his congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria, praising their efforts and determination as the team secured qualification for AFCON 2025, to be held in Morocco.

Dikko said the qualification with two games to spare reflects the team’s hard work, commitment, and talent.

Nigeria’s place in Morocco was confirmed after Libya's 1-0 victory over Rwanda, ensuring the Super Eagles' qualification even before their final two group matches.

Nigeria now has 10 points, with Benin Republic on 6 points (4 games played by both nations). Rwanda is third with 5 points from 5 games and Libya bottom, with 4 points from 5 games.
