Following the conclusion of the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) playoffs, eight clubs have earned promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL), the country’s second-tier football division.

 

The promotion spots were split evenly between northern and southern teams, with four clubs emerging from each region.

 

Promoted Teams – Northern Region:

• Kano Ambassadors (Kano State)

• Warinje FC (Bauchi State)

• City FC (Abuja)

• Mai Kunkele (Niger State)

 

Promoted Teams – Southern Region:

• Stormers SC (Ogun State)

• Hammola FC (Osun State)

• E-World United (Cross River State)

• Ikorodu City FA (Lagos State)

 

The playoffs, which featured the top-performing sides from the NLO regular season, served as the decisive battleground for teams aspiring to climb the Nigerian football ladder.
