The 2024 Judith Chime Football Championship, scheduled for Enugu from December 13 to 21, has garnered significant interest, with eight female football clubs already confirming their participation.


According to sources, 22 clubs received invitations, and as of press time, eight teams have formally expressed their willingness to participate in the tournament.


The championship, previously held in Asaba, Delta State, where Imo Strikers emerged victorious, has been rebranded and will debut in Enugu, dubbed "Enugu 2024."


The Judith Chime Foundation organizes the event, providing a platform for female football teams to showcase their talents and attract local and international scouts.


Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Judith Chime, driven by her passion for women's empowerment through sports, established the foundation to foster opportunities for female athletes.
