Lagos FA Bye-Elections: Dotun Coker Declared As Sole Qualified Candidate For V-Chairman Seat

 

The Lagos State Football Association Electoral Committee on Monday, screened candidates for the vacant seat of the position of Vice-Chairman. 

 

In the statement released by Akeem Okikiopusu, the Secretary of Lagos State FootballAssociation, two aspirants obtained nomination forms to contest the elections, namely, Abdulrahman Abolore

and Adedotun Coker.


According to Alhaji Tijani Abdulazeez, head of the electoral committee, atvl the the end of the screening, Abdulrahman Abolore was disqualified for running foul of Article 5L of the Electoral guidelines as released by the committee.


Thereafter, Adedotun Coker, after meeting the requirements, has been cleared as the sole candidate for the Vice Chairmanship Bye Election scheduled for Thursday 11th April 2024 at FA Secretariat Ogunlana Drive Surulere Lagos.


It would be recalled that the Vice-Chairmanship position became vacant after Hajji Gafar Liameed was unanimously elected by the FA Congress to replace the impeached former Chairman, Fouad Oki.
