In a recent video that has gone viral on social media platforms, the PDP state Chairman in Edo state was seen promoting an ethnic agenda.
 Earl Osaro Onaiwu, the pioneer Director-General of the PDP Governors Forum,  has expressed his disappointment and criticized the chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, for  promoting an ethnic agenda ahead of the 2024 gubernatorial elections in the state.

Onaiwu strongly condemned Aziegbemi's actions, describing them as divisive and harmful to the unity of the party. He called on the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Ambassador Damagun and the Zonal Vice Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih to intervene and address the issue. In his view, the State chairman should be an unbiased and impartial umpire, ensuring fairness and equality within the party.

Moreover, Onaiwu expressed his concerns about Aziegbemi's use of his name to promote the alleged ethnic agenda. He called on the state Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, to caution the party chairman from using his name for his divisive actions stating that if such actions continue, they would be left with no choice but to demand his resignation.

Onaiwu stressed the importance of unity within the PDP as they prepare for the 2024 gubernatorial elections in Edo State. He emphasized that the party needs the collective effort of all members to achieve success in the upcoming polls. Highlighting the significance of a united front, Onaiwu urged all members to set aside their differences and work towards a common goal.

As discussions surrounding the political landscape in Edo State intensify, Onaiwu's criticism of the PDP chairman sheds light on the internal dynamics within the party.
