Pillar Of Sports, Ejidike, Announces N100, 000 Cash Reward To NYG Youngest Athlete, First Gold Medalists Karate, Weightlifting

Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, JP, has announced a cash reward of N100, 000 to the youngest athlete in the ongoing 7th National Youth Games, NYG, holding in Asaba, Delta State, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
On Saturday, 23 September 2023, Ejidike announced a personal cash reward of N100,000 to Ogodo Goodness, who won the first gold medal of the 7th edition NYG after winning the gold medal in the 45kg Snatch category of the Weightlifting event.
As the kids sports show entered day five on Wednesday, September 27, the former President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria, KFN, upped the ante in his motivation and encouragement of the athletes competing in the Asaba 2023 NYG by also extending his cash reward to the youngest athlwte at the games as well as the first gold medal winner in Karate event.
Though Ejidike is not physically present here in Asaba, he has followed every single moment of the games and has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the athletes, hence his decision to encourage and motivate them with cash boost.
A statement from the Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports and signed by its Chairman, Prince Ajide Olayioye, urged the first gold medalists in Weightlifting, Karate and as well the youngest athlete at the games to contact the Chairman, Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Ajide Olayioye through Short Message Service, SMS, on his mobile phone.
"The winners are expected to forward their names and account details to Prince Olayioye Ajide, Chairman Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports on 08038584688", the statement concluded.
