Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, known popularly as Doyin from Big Brother Naija, has ignited a social media debate with her views on religion and national development.

Responding to a fan on Snapchat, Doyin revealed she doesn't subscribe to online religious programs.  She questioned their effectiveness, suggesting that "if religious programs were all a nation needed, Nigeria would be one of the greatest countries."

Doyin's comments went further, sparking conversation.  She expressed a belief that Nigerians spend "too much time praying instead of working and being good human beings."

Doyin elaborated in a separate post, stating that religious practices like "hallelujah challenges" don't equate to progress.  "We spend too much time praying and shouting hallelujah instead of actually working and being actual good human beings," she wrote.

Doyin acknowledged that religious practices hold value for some,  emphasizing, "to each his own."  However, she maintained that the core aspects of faith lie in "having a good relationship with God and being a good human being."

Doyin concluded her message with a blunt statement: "If you like, shout hallelujah from now till next year. If you don't find ways to improve yourself and provide value...you'll keep shouting hallelujah in hunger."

Doyin's comments have garnered mixed reactions online, with some agreeing on the importance of action alongside faith, while others defend the role of religious programs. The debate highlights the ongoing conversation about religion's role in personal and national progress.
