In a recent interview on TVC's Esplash, Kellyrae and Kassia, winners of BBNaija season 9, revealed the strategic teamwork that helped them keep their marriage under wraps.

The 2024 edition's unique pair-based gameplay had viewers hooked, even after the pairs dissolved. Kellyrae and Kassia, competing as "Doublekay," cleverly posed as friends, hiding their marital status.

Kellyrae credited their success to discipline and mental toughness. "We constantly reminded ourselves of our goal and the temporary nature of the challenge," he said. "We supported each other, taking turns to keep our focus."

Initially, Kassia struggled with the pretense, being naturally affectionate. However, as time passed, she became the voice of calm, reminding Kellyrae to stay composed.

Kassia shared that participating in BBNaija was Kellyrae's long-held ambition. "He had almost given up after multiple failed attempts, but a friend encouraged us to audition, and we were surprised to get selected."

Their strategic teamwork and dedication paid off, making them the first pair to win the competition.
