Alloy Agu, a for Nigeria goalkeeper, told the Super Eagles to put behind the 'shock' draw against The Crocodiles of Lesotho Thursday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and focus on Sunday's fixture away to The Warriors of  Zimbabwe billed for Butare in Rwanda in continuation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Agu reckons that it would amount to flogging a dead horse if the senior National Team continue to rue the Lesotho draw, saying that the Cricodiles game now belongs to the past..

“The qualifiers have just started and it will be too early to predict what will happen until the end of the group games", Agu, a former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer began. 

"So, anything can happen in the game of football. That shows that football has gone beyond what it used to be in the past..

“This simply means that the Super Eagles must put this result behind and focus on the next game against Zimbabwe, by coming out with the needed victory and we are back on track.”

Lesotho held out firmly in the first and took a shock lead early in the second period when Motlomelo Mkhawanazi headed past Francis Uzoho in the 56th minute from a corner kick..

But Semi Ajayi restored parity for the Super Eagles 11 minutes later, precisely on 67th minute, also from a corner kick.

The Super Eagles are due to fly out on Friday to Butare, Rwanda, for Sunday's clash against The Warriors of Zimbabwe in the match day two fixture of Group C games of the 2026 World Cup finals to be hosted by USA/Canada/Mexico.
