Benedict Akwuegbu, a former Super Eagles forward, is understood to be on the radar of no fewer than four UK universities for a Master's degree program in Mental Health Nursing, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The 'Austria Bomber', as Akwuegbu is known following his extraordinary return of goals during his career sojourn in Australia, is an AFCON silver medalist with the Super Eagles in 2000, having previously featured for the Nigeria U17s and U20s.

After a brief spell in club management at Heartland FC, a Nigeria elite league club, where he worked as Assistant General Manager, Akwuegbu, who had previously floated Mbaise Utd FC and later Ben Akwuegbu FC in Owerri, his home state, Imo State capital, Akwuegbu drifted to the United Kingdom where he secured admission with Angelia Ruskin University, A.R.U, where he obtained a first class degree in Mental Health Nursing.

Akwuegbu is understood to have shown remarkable zeal to further his education by applying for Master's Program with the Kingston University, Middlesex University, Greenwich University and South Bank University. 

Checks reveal that the four universities are Favourably Disposed To offering the  President and sole financier of Ben Akwuegbu FC, Jos, admission to actualize his dream of undergoing a Master's Degree Course in Mental Health Nurse in their universities.

 has continued to make giant strides having recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, among others.

Already, Middlesex University has opened the vista for Akwuegbu's possible admission by offering him opportunity to pick a date of choice and convenience for online interview that could lead to his eventual admission.

Similarly, Kingston University has equally issued Akwuegbu his Student ID for their online interview session.

Kelvin Fawdrey, Head of Admissions, University of Greenwich, in a memo acknowledged receipt of Akwuegbu's application for admission.

It's yet unclear which of the four universities that will win the race for Akwuegbu's Master's Degree in Mental Health Nursing.
