It was a day filled with joy, reflection, and celebration as over 270 students of Command Secondary School (CSS), Suleja, Niger State, bid farewell to their alma mater after six years of academic excellence and character development.

Held on Wednesday within the school premises, the 2025 graduation ceremony featured a vibrant speech and prize-giving event and the launch of a book authored by the graduating class, showcasing the intellectual growth of the students.

Acting Commandant Lt. Col. Rufia Aliyu, in his address, praised the graduates for their dedication, resilience, and discipline, applauding them for staying true to the values instilled in them throughout their time at the school.

“This ceremony is more than a tradition. It celebrates excellence, rewards hard work, and honors the achievements of both students and staff,” he said. “We thank God for the opportunity to guide these future leaders.”

Lt. Col. Aliyu highlighted the school's consistent academic success and improved infrastructure, noting the students' impressive performances in national examinations. He also commended parents and guardians for their steadfast support.

Offering a heartfelt charge to the outgoing students, he reminded them:

“Carry with you the values of respect, integrity, discipline, and resilience—they will serve you well as you step into the wider world.”

In a compelling keynote address, Professor Isa Garba, Provost of the Nigerian Defence Academy, emphasized the importance of skill acquisition in today’s evolving world.

“Success is now defined not just by what you know, but by what you can do with it,” he noted. “Whatever your field—engineering, agriculture, economics—practical skills are essential.”

He urged students to stay curious, read widely, ask questions, and embrace integrity and leadership. While cautioning against the irresponsible use of social media and digital tools, he encouraged them to use the internet for learning and self-improvement.

Professor Garba also made a passionate plea to parents:

“Let your children pursue careers they are passionate about. When they study what they love, they thrive.”

The event closed with thunderous applause from proud parents, staff, and guests, as the graduating students marched boldly toward a new chapter—armed with knowledge, values, and a vision forged within the halls of CSS Suleja. 🌟
