A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Innocent Agbo over the weekend donated food items, materials to Hope for Survival Orphanage Home at Gishiri Abuja and discribed it as initiative to encourage his daughter, Patricia who celebrated birthday on the 14th of February 2024, no matter how little.

The front runner of Okpokwu/ Ogbadibo/ Ado Federal Constituency in Benue State come 2027,  said the gesture was to also, celebrate her daughter’s birthday with the children amid economic hardship in the country.
 
The Oil businessmugu who extended his hands of fellowship through his wife Ada-Obi Innocent Agbo said the ideas behind it was to celebrate her daughter birthday and reduce the economic hardship faced by the Hope for Survival orphanage, Abuja.

The items donated included cooked meals, cartoons of noodles, toiletries snacks and cash donation.

“We are here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday (Patricia), with the unprivileged. The children need our support and love. We cannot abandon them.

“The Bible encourages us to love one another and to share. This is a demonstration of the teachings of Jesus Christ. We know things are hard. But the little we have, we will assist. I encourage well-meaning citizens to extend their hands of kindness to others.”

According to Innocent Agbo, who has be called by his people to take part in the next House of Representatives election in Benue State, said with time, a foundation would be set up to assist more people.

He promised to sustain and stretch the initiative to other states especially his home state, Benue.

“If we who are outside are finding things a bit difficult, what of the underprivileged? There is no better time than now to show love. We will do more. This is not the end of it,” he said.

They were accompanied by family members, friends, and political associates, who said they were not surprised that the couple chose to celebrate with the underprivileged, as kindness has also been their trademark.

In his remarks, Administrator of the orphanage, Kefas Thaddeus, said the items donated would go long way in sustaining the children.

Thaddeus said: “We welcome you to our Hope for Survival orphanage. We have so many children here. Some have gone to school and NYSC.

“We are commitment to helping them. The economic hardship is terrible. We need help.
