"You're Worst Than A Military Dictator".. Atiku Tells Tinubu

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration, stating that its "oppressive control" exceeds even the harshest days of military rule. In an X post, Atiku expressed concern over the escalating attacks on civil society and the media, citing the recent arrest of Nigerian Labour Congress President Joe Ajaero as a prime example.

Atiku described Ajaero's arrest as a "relentless campaign to intimidate and subdue organized labour." He also referenced the detention of a journalist, which was later claimed to be an error, and the targeting of SERAP Nigeria, a move that Atiku sees as a threat to democratic values.

The Department of State Services (DSS) arrested Ajaero on Monday morning and released him around midnight. Ajaero was en route to the UK for a Trade Union Congress event when he was detained at Abuja airport and grilled for 15 hours.

Atiku's statement highlights his concerns about the Tinubu administration's actions, which he believes undermine freedom and justice.
