With Self Belief, Flying Eagles Can Conquer The World In Chile --------Coach Gbadebo

Adebayo Gbadebo, a former Nigeria international and now a coach in Thailand, has posited that Aliyu Zubairu's U20 National Team, Flying Eagles, could conquer the World in the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup holding in Chile in September, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
The 50-year-old Sociology graduate of University of Ibadan (1988) and ex Stationery Stores of Lagos (1993-1994) who called time on his playing career in 2004 after several trophy successes in Asia and Asian countries spoke to Exclusivenews.com.ng from his base in Bangkok, Thailand following the conclusion of the CAFU20 Nations Cup in Egypt where Flying Eagles won the bronze and qualified for the World Cup.
The first African with AFC Pro Coaching License (2019 Doctorate Program for Football Coaches urged Flying Eagles coaches to review the team's performances in Egypt with a view to identifying its weak areas and correct them before the Chile global youth showpiece in September.
"First, let me congratulate the Flying Eagles for qualifying for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Chile. Let me also say kudos to them for finishing in third place at the concluded CAF U20 Nations Cup in Egypt", began Coach Gbadebo who is Manager and Head Coach of Suphanburi FC, a Thai Premier League side.
"I saw the team play during the U20 AFCO. They have lots of determined, powerful and strong players that have potentials. I think what they need to do is to continue to believe in themselves, just as the coach has packaged them and keep working hard as well.
"They played several matches. It's now time for the coach and the technical crew to sit down, review the matches to find out their weak points and areas that need improvement in the team which I know, they know or should know already. But they really need to put it in perspective and work on it. They have enough time and they can be able to make it.
"I also believe there's need for them to work on their attacking set pieces because, with the strenght that the team has and the players heights, that will be a very good advantage for them. And of course, the goalkeeper that we've, very fantastic and highly rated and I think he has the boldness and they should work more on him to turn his strength for us in quick transition since we have fast players.
"So, I believe World Cup is a very big tournament with its challenges but many young players with quality in our team I think they can make a success of it.
"Nigeria is also a power house in global youth championships. And if the players are really ready and determined and work towards it, they can get a very favourable result", Gbadebo concluded.
