Veteran Nollywood actor Sunday Olaoluwa Afolabi has been seen driving a commercial danfo bus in Lagos, drawing renewed attention to the challenges faced by longtime performers in Nigeria’s film industry.

 

The development comes weeks after a video of the actor’s noticeably changed appearance circulated online, sparking concern among fans and colleagues. Many who recognised him expressed shock and nostalgia, recalling his memorable role in the 1996 Yoruba classic Owo Blow.

 

In a recently resurfaced short clip now trending across TikTok, X, and other social media platforms, Afolabi is seen standing outside a danfo bus, appearing frail as he adjusts the seat to allow passengers to board.
