Entertainment lawyer Folakemi Falana has entered the fray, defending her family's reputation against social media personality Verydarkman's contentious allegations.

The controversy began on September 24, 2024, when Verydarkman accused Falz and his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, of facilitating the dismissal of money laundering charges against Bobrisky by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Folakemi Falana took to Instagram, to address the claims, emphasizing her family's unwavering commitment to justice and integrity.

"Our family has consistently upheld the values of justice, transparency, and compassion," Folakemi wrote. "For years, our law firm, Falana & Falana, has provided pro-bono services, securing presidential pardons for countless Nigerians."

She shared documents from 2016 and 2022, illustrating her family's long-standing dedication to social justice.

"It's disheartening that some Nigerians choose to ignore facts and engage in reckless speculation," Folakemi added. "We will not be swayed by baseless accusations."

Verydarkman was given 24 hours to retract his statement but refused, claiming no defamation occurred.

The Falana family's reputation for advocacy and public service remains unshaken, with Folakemi's response reaffirming their resolve to uphold justice and integrity.
